What are Concepts?

A workshop will explore the relevant ideas within a short time frame of no more than 2 hours. A concept is at least 4 hours in length, with an hour break for lunch (supplied). It is designed to explore the relevant tango 'concept' from the ground up and will allow you to develop with your partner to the level that is suitable for you.

Concepts are special intensives organised by TangoSpace where over four hours a single idea or tango ‘concept’ is built from the ground up. Students MUST enrol with a partner (note: We do not care about gender balance as long as there is a leader and a follower). Throughout the Concept you work with your partner to your desired level. Concepts are divided into two 2 hour sessions with a 1 hour break in between. You must enrol for the full four hours. But the good news is that within the hour break, we will supply you with lunch. Concepts cost $150 per person.

Concepts: The Rules

1. You MUST enrol in the full 4 hours
2. You MUST enrol with a partner (we don't care about gender balance)
3. Lunch will be supplied

Welcome

TangoSpace is pleased to welcome Nick Jones and Diana Cruz to Perth 6th - 13th February 2019. We will be offering a diverse program to help improve your connection and communication in tango. Beginning with a musicality workshop to build your understanding of rhythms and tempos, we then explore the free leg in our first concept. This will help you to build speed and precision while also spotting places for adornments. The final concept will take a look at the essence of of tango - improvisation. Learn how to identify patterns and habits in your dance. Find new opportunities and textures to open up possibilities within yourself and in relation to your partner.
